Misty is far more than a photographer; she is a talented artist, with an eye for detail and pleasing aesthetic. She is warm and calm and whimsical, and made us feel comfortable and at home with her. She directed and guided us through each shot, ensuring we were poised, yet relaxed and natural.
Our experience with Misty was unforgettable, our images were breathtaking, and we will cherish both the photos and the experience forever.
My only regret is that we didn't pursue many more sessions with her over the years. We will absolutely be working with Misty again, and we can't wait to see what she will come up with next!

I don't have the words to say what I feel in my heart for Misty!
I met her when I was out to marry the love of my life. She captured my bridal portraits and our wedding. Instantly fell in love with her and her work!! Fast forward 3 years and she has photographed our daughters breastfeeding photos, and one year old photos, couples portraits throughout the 3 years, multiple family members/friends and recently my sisters bridal portraits and wedding.
I consider her family. Her work is truly magical and she will forever be our go to. ♥️

Misty was such a joy to work with on what truly was a hectic day. She remained calm and professional throughout the whole event and did an incredible job.
The Barn at York Hill has so many places for photo shoots – I think she covered them all – that’s a lot of ground when you’re on a tight schedule! We hired Misty for our wedding held in April at the Wayside Inn in Middletown, Virginia. In looking for a photographer, we wanted someone whose style fit our rustic, vintage venue and Misty was the perfect choice for our wedding. We booked her rather early in the planning process and throughout our engagement; she was very attentive and checked in often to see how our planning was going. I ended up having a snafu with a local hair salon a month out and she offered some great suggestions for alternative hair stylists for the day of our wedding.
I would highly recommend Misty to anyone looking for a photographer, whether it’s for family portraits, engagement shoots, or for your wedding day. Her work is absolutely beautiful. On our wedding day, we ended up having not-so-favorable weather and she helped make the hectic day go by so smoothly.
I didn’t hire a videographer and thought I may regret it, but once we received our photos, I saw how perfectly she captured the story of our day and now I don’t regret it one bit. She provided us with so much more than we had expected and are truly touched by the thought and care she put into our photos and wedding package.

Misty is the best. She worked with us from our legal marriage back in August 2015 until our full blown wedding extravaganza in May 2016. She did two sets of wedding photos, engagement shots, and bridal portraits.
Her images are gorgeous and evoke so much emotion, but they can definitely speak for themselves. What you can't see in the images though, is all the hard work and the smiling face behind the camera. She takes time to edit and prepare your photos to give you the best product possible.
Misty is very flexible and easy to communicate with as well, which is crucial in the midst of wedding planning. I recommend her 100% and hope I get the chance for her to capture more of the milestones in our life as they arise. If you want photos that you will love for the rest of your life, don't book with anyone else.

I had originally booked her as my wedding photographer and my husband & I were ecstatic to have found her quality of work for a price that we could afford. She met with us at Panera and spent over an hour or so going over her contract and services. We were so excited to work with her and then a couple days later, she had informed us that she was sick and wanted to be upfront and honest with us about everything. That alone spoke wonders to me about her character. She refunded us our deposit and everything as she was unsure how much she would be able to work during the year. But several months later, I noticed that she was working again from her posts on social media, and I sent her a message as I was looking for a photographer to shoot pictures of us in traditional Malaysian wedding attire, for my mother, since we weren't doing a traditional Malay wedding but wanted pictures. Misty blew the Malaysian photos out of the water. They were the most beautiful photographs I have ever seen, and I know it means so much to my mom to have these. Thank you Misty for being such an amazing photographer and person.
I will certainly love to work with you again in the future and will recommend you to anyone and everyone I know that is looking for a wedding photographer!
