Hi there, thanks for stopping by! I'm Misty, the face behind the lens of Boheme Bridal, formerly Moments by Misty for those of you who have been around for a while!
I have been shooting weddings + boudoir since 2012 and early on found my niche photographing women & weddings. I'm a hopeless romantic and I love everything about weddings. I am drawn to dreamy, romantic captures and spontaneous, authentic moments. In my true eclectic fashion, I am a canon girl but recently jumped into medium format shooting and dabble in Super 8 video as well.
On personal style, I consider myself an extroverted introvert. I operate from a big, crazy, passionate, optimistic heart shaped by all my life experiences. I am fun, laid-back, genuine, quirky and warm. I am a quintessential Libra, I have a stong attraction (ie addiction )to coffee, dresses, bikram yoga, art and all things pretty and cozy. I am a breast cancer survivor, an animal lover (especially goldendoodles) and a lover of humanity and my passion for people & photography has taken me on several mission/photography trips around the world with Project HOPE and other organizations. I have traveled to and/or worked in Haiti, Nicaragua, Hawaii, Italy, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Iceland and four times to Uganda.

I definitely don't consider myself a photographer with a 'traditional' style. My approach for weddings is more documentary with an artsy flair combined with some intimate, romantic posing The wind is my favorite 'prop' and I love anything windswept, I love images oozing with romance and I love imperfections, I love the challenge of taking unpredictable things like the subject, the weather and the light and using them all together in a moment to create what I see as art.
My processing style leans toward the film-y look and I have a deep love for timeless Black & Whites. I understand wedding photography is a huge investment and I am confident in both my experience shooting many, many real weddings through the years as well as my ability to creatively and with great detail and attention to your vision- tell YOUR story...
